Privacy
Effective 20 September 2026. This page says what the Rubetris games and this site keep, where they keep it, and how to have it removed. It covers the Android app, the browser build at play.rubetris.com and rubetris.com itself.
In short
- There are no accounts and no sign-in. Nothing asks for your name, email, age or location.
- Your settings and records stay on your device (Android) or in your browser (play.rubetris.com).
- The browser build can send a finished run to our rankings server so it can be verified and ranked. That is on by default and switches off in the game's Settings; what it sends is listed below.
- This site, the browser build and the rankings server are hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps the ordinary operational logs any web host keeps.
- No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies. Nothing is sold or shared.

The Android app
The app keeps its settings, touch layouts, records, trophies and run summaries on your device and sends nothing to us. It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries, no purchases, no chat and no login. The only permission it asks for is vibration, for optional haptic feedback; it does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone, SMS or storage access.
That data stays until you clear the app's storage in Android's settings or uninstall the app. Google Play's own handling of your account and downloads is governed by Google's privacy policy, not this one.
The browser build (play.rubetris.com)
The browser build keeps your settings and up to fifty run records in your browser's storage for this site, on this device only, along with a cache of the game's files so it keeps working offline. It sets no cookies. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes all of it, records and rankings name included.
Verified rankings
When you finish a run in the browser build with Rankings switched on (it is on by default), your browser sends that run's verified score record to our rankings server. The game's own words for the setting: Send verified runs to the rubetris.com rankings under a device-generated name. Off deletes that name and sends nothing.
What is sent: the game's rules and the day's board, the moves you made, the score and the number of turns, and a name made for this device.
What is kept: the server replays the moves to check the score, then keeps only what it needs to rank the run: that record, the score, the turns, the ruleset, the day, the name, the time it arrived and the version of the game that checked it. Any clock values your browser sent are replaced by the server's own arrival time. Entries live in a database in our Cloudflare account.
The name: a gem word plus four characters, for example Sapphire-4F2A, derived from a random key your browser makes once and stores on this device. The server never stores the key, and nothing about you or your device can be worked out from the name.
Your network address is used only to limit how many submissions and page reads a minute the server accepts; it is forgotten within two minutes and is never kept with a run.
Switching Rankings off deletes the device key, and nothing more is sent. Switching it on again makes a new key and a new name, as does clearing this site's browser data.
Removal: to have a run or a name removed from the rankings, email help@bigbwain.com with the name shown on your Run Complete screen and, if you have it, the text from Copy Verified Score. We cannot connect a name to a person, so the name is what identifies the entry.
Hosting
rubetris.com, play.rubetris.com and the rankings server run on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare's network sees the address and request details of each visit and keeps its standard operational and security logs under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We add no analytics, no tracking and no third-party scripts of our own; this site ships no JavaScript at all.
Children
Rubetris is a puzzle game for everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included: the games have no chat, purchases or accounts, and a rankings entry holds no name, email or age, only the device-generated gem name and the run itself.
If you write to help@bigbwain.com, your message and address are kept only as long as it takes to answer and to keep a record of support. Ask in the same thread and we delete it.
Changes
When a game changes what it sends or keeps, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.
